Mobility in Poland
Mobility in Poland took place from 30th of September to 5th of October in Leszno.
On the day of arrival all participants took part in a welcome dinner. During the dinner guests were greeted by headmaster and vice-director of Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy in Leszno. Programme of the mobility and project activities were discussed at the welcome dinner.
On the second day of mobility we started with a tour around Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy in Leszno. Project participants visited preschool for children with intellectual disability, primary, secondary and vocational schools for children with mental impairment.
After the tour around the school guests had chance to visit classrooms, meet students and teachers. The participants observed an art therapy and music therapy workshops. Moreover guests visited biofeedback lab where they took part in presentation of therapy. Visitors could experience sensory stimulation when visited sensory integration lab.
On the third day of mobility we organized a horse carriage ride through Kampinos National Park and at that time participants had occasion to exchange experience and opinions about therapy methods. Afterwards the hippotherapy method was presented. Equine therapist presented activities that are being practised with disabled student. Students who help in a horse care presented saddling and grooming procedures. Guests had chance to try horseback riding. The participants watched the presentation about influence of hippotherapy method on students with special educational needs.
The fourth day was Comenius Day at school. Polish students presented traditional scout songs and guests from partner schools presented their national specialities. All participants had opportunity to taste local delicacies and watch videos about partner countries. In the afternoon the coordinators have met to discuss a layout and a content of project book and CD.
The fifth day of mobility all activities were summarizes. Participants shared their opinions and insights about the therapy methods which were presented. The project website was updated. Coordinators were responsible for summarise the project activities and make suggestions about future project activities. The ceremony of awarding certificates was held.
