Our organisation

The activity of our school begins in 1960, and all the time since them we have tried to give children with disabilities the best education. 

We are a public school, offering quality educational and therapeutic services to almost 300 children with mental disabilities, learning disabilities, attention disorders and autism.

Most of our children's families are facing economical difficulties and the children are facing the risk of social isolation. 

Even though we teach them independent life abilities,  the most challenging problems we are facing is the behavior of our children and it takes all our pedagogical creativity to find out the ways to reduce that.

The children we attend are age 4 to 18.

Our objectives

Our objective is to provide high quality education and care for all the children in a safe, structured and appropriately stimulating environment. We are focused on enabling children and young people to achieve their potential and develop the greatest degree of independence, social competence and communication as possible. 

In providing an effective learning environment we recognize that all of the children have a range of abilities and learning needs.

Our curriculum is in accordance with the National Priorities for Education in Romania. The educational intervention is based on a personalized intervention plan (PIP), made for the students by a multidisciplinar team (special education teacher, pyichologist, doctor, speech therapist).

We try to make the parents an active part in the educational process, by involving them in the activities with the children.
